The little things.

It seems like these days it is the smallest thing that I find delight in.
I have a cold sort of thing so I bought several soups yesterday at Green Fields Market, a small market focusing on organic and natural items.

The Wolfgang Puck's Organic Classic Tomato with Basil is to die for.
FYI! Buy if you run across it...you can thank me later!

No pictures, I have a cold, remember? ;c)

You must go...

It takes a lot to travel.
Money.
Time.
Planning.
Going into the unknown.
Time away from responsibility (GASP!) that you might pay for a little bit later.
Long plane flights.
Jet lag.
Did I mention money?

But it is so important to go.
So very important.
You could really find a million excuses to put it off but if you really want to go! GO!!

I was born in Eschebach, Germany.
Where you say?!?!
That is right...Eschenbach, Germany.
Pronounced Ess-shin-bock.
I heard people say "WHERE!?!?" a lot.
In fact I said it.

For most of my life that I can remember...I have wanted to visit.

I am finally here now.
In the tiny, quaint German village of Eshcenbach. WE FINALLY DID IT!!!!!!! We finally came! It has been wonderful to visit where I started. So I did it...I came. Where do you want to go? Get to planning! Even if it takes a year....it will be delightful when you get there!

Here are a few "generic" photos! I'll update later with more of my own once I am home!

Eschenbach, Germany

And our first stop upon arriving in Germany was possibly the quaintest town I have ever seen. Rothenburg ob der Tauber. This is not Disney World pictured...this is a real medieval village. Oh my. Maybe if you don't know where to visit...you should go here. The town was founded in 1170 although construction in some areas began in 950. No Disney World about it!

And in two days...I will be visiting the Neutschwanstein Castle. Unbelievable and I cannot wait!

Happy planning and dreaming about it! Auf Wiedersehen!

Content.

I don't know about you but I am always working towards something.

Always working to better myself.

Always working to beautify something in my home or life.

But if you take a moment and enjoy today and leave the efforts aside,

you actually step back and see all your hard work from all the time before.

It feels great.

And there is always tomorrow to work towards something.

Today, be content.

If you need more motivation print the image at the beginning and go look in the mirror.

Now this, this....is delightful.

I have no plans tomorrow. That is incredibly delightful.
I have been missing lately. From you, from me. I have been so busy I have been spinning. Lets not kid ourselves...this is a historic repeat. I am a stress junky it seems...but lately has been a roaring monster of being busy that I certainly don't welcome, don't love and I just spin. An unusual, unwelcomed, busy. Part of me wonders if I created this blog to make sure I find delight in times like these and then I get lost. I hope you are better at repeating some of these things in your daily life!
So tomorrow...I have no plans. As I already said. I have to say it again because it is like the best rare vintage find at a sale that you have been hunting for, for a decade...it is that good.
But I might, if I so choose after my morning latte, go find some white dishes. I just sold all of my dishes at a garage sale on a whim. We are plateless but I look forward to finding some classic simple ones. Maybe I will tomorrow. Maybe I won't.

I also might find some bedroom inspiration while enjoying that latte. Outside, on the patio, while the dogs and the white furry cat roam the yard and play. I also sold our bedside lamps. I can never complain about forced redesign.

So tomorrow....no plans. No definitive plans and only enjoyable things if I so choose to do them. Now that...is delightful. And welcomed. Happy day to you as well!

Economical Enjoyment.

I am *notorious* for go-go-go. For those who know me in person it is clearly something that I need to work on. I have the most incredible on-going to do list that keeps building by:

- dreaming up of new wonderful things to do
- running errands to get supplies for the to-do list
- shopping and finding new projects from great finds

And ZERO of this includes my full time job that I work very hard at staying in high achievements at. So...as you see above none of my "running around town" and staying busy actually gets this to-do list done. It only makes it longer.

Well we are all aware of the economy and it is about high time my running around town takes a break on the credit card and it is about time I actually get to bring some of these wonderful fun projects to life or sit down and take a load off and soak in a great read. If you visit the 'York Design' or 'Augustine Designs' blogs you will find that I have great passion for home decor and clothing design which is where a lot of this to-do list lies. However, if you scroll down a few posts on the Daily Delights you will also see that I likely have several library books in my possession, a latte machine and yes....ALWAYS candles. So what in the world am I doing zipping around town when my own delightful enjoyment is RIGHT HERE AT HOME or a book away in a favorite free relaxing spot!?

I get to:

- blog ;c)
- create
- read
- enjoy a latte
- with some tunes on...a candle lit
- and watch my to-do list shrink right before my eyes

REALLY?!? And most of it is FREE?! Well....the weekend I do it, I won't spend a dime at that time and my to-do list will shrink.

::hand to forehead, swoon head back in pure delight::

How DELIGHTFUL!!! And why didn't I think of this sooner?

Stay home or go to your favorite outdoor spot to relax.
Don't be busy...have an economical enjoyment time!!

Whole Latte Love

For me lattes provide 2 purposes. The first is a caffeine boost but the most important is enjoyment and relaxation which is the delightful thing about them.

I was blessed to receive a latte machine for my home and oh how I love love love it. It starts of my weekdays just right and my weekends are made even better! It is also quite nice to be able to offer an espresso, cappucino or latte to my guests. While everyone has their own taste in coffee (have you heard the varations ordered at coffee houses!?!) I hope you find a way to make your own delightful morning beverage...in the comfort of your own home.

Hotel Home

The traveling professional or vacationer in me likes to take the *Daily Delight Basics* with me. Music, candlelight and the all-so-standard dim lighting make your hotel home purely delightful. Some of the most amazing scented candles come in small tins perfect for popping in the travel bags with your favorite box of matchsticks. If working, don't pretend this won't make the late night of spreadsheets and reports that much more delightful and while vacations don't need much of a boost in the delight department, why not make your hotel home feel more cozy and delightful?

Enjoy!
